Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) and Amethyste du Coty won the first CSI 5* class, the CHF $8,080 Gönnerclub Pferdesport Basel Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the Longines CSI Basel 5*-W in Switzerland,

The Italian and the 9-year-old bay Selle Français stallion (Diamant de Semilly x Quidam de Reve) topped 50 other combinations in the 1.40m speed scontest by leaving all the poles up and crossing the finish line in 54.22 seconds.

Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Cristo (Cristo x Stakkato) gave the home crowd something to cheer about, finishing second only due to their time of 54.46 seconds.

Third place went to Laura Renwick (GBR) on Top Dollar VI (Dollar du Murier), registering no penalties and a time of 55.92 seconds.
