Third Win! Julien Epaillard & Caracole de La Roque Cap off Perfect Week Winning €95,200 Grand Prix du Départament de La Manche CSI 4*

Saint Lô, France – October 23, 2022 – And they did it again! Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Caracole de La Roque capped off a perfect week at the Jumping International Saint-Lô CSI 4* by claiming top honors in the €95,200 Grand Prix Du Départament De La Manche CSI 4* last Sunday at the Pôle Hippique de Saint Lô.

The dynamic duo had already conquered two major wins earlier in the week at the same event. They had triumphed in the €25,500 Prix France Etalons CSI 4* on Thursday and the €50,300 Prix Ville de St-Lô & Lô Agglo CSI 4* on Friday before resting on Saturday for the feature class of the week at the equestrian competition. And once again they did not disappoint. Epaillard showed his maestry aboard the 2012 bay Selle Français mare (Zandor Z x Kannan), powering past 6 other combinations in the jump-off of the 1.5tm contest, once again in flawless fashion before crossing the finish line in 33.55 seconds.

A pleasant surprise was to see young Maelle Martin (FRA) overcome more experienced riders on Bise des Bardellieres (Lamm de Fetan x Persan II) to claim second place. They matched the clean scorecard of the eventual winners before securing silver honors due to their jump-off time of 34.95 seconds.

The all-French podium was completed by another young rider. Nicolas Layec (FRA) rode Best Of Iscla (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) towards bronze honors, doing so after a penalty-free performance in 35.88 seconds during the tiebreaker.
