
Saint Lô, France – October 21, 2022 – After winning the €25,500 Prix France Etalons CSI 4* the day before and for the second day in a row, Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Caracole de La Roque once again stole the spotlight at the Jumping International Saint-Lô CSI 4*. Epaillard excelled in the €50,300 Prix Ville de St-Lô & Lô Agglo CSI 4*.
Epaillard was supreme aboard the 2012 bay Selle Français mare (Zandor Z x Kannan) conquered the most important class of the week, overpowering 7 other combinations in the jump-off of the 1.50m contest, doing so in flawless fashion in 34.56 seconds.
The current Pro-Elite French champions, Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) and Texas (Tornesch 1042 x Robin Z) put on a valiant effort against the “Flying Frenchman”, finishing in an honorable second place due to their penalty-free jump-off performance in 35.38 seconds.
Patrick Guimbal (FRA) and Bagatelle de Granueu (Diamant de Semilly x Quick Star) were a bit further back, but their clean final effort in 37.17 seconds was more than enough for bronze honors.
