Nisse Lüneburg & Nebraska van’T Vianahof Victorious in €26,400 Van Mossel Automotive Group Grand Prix CSI 2* at Peelbergen

Kronenberg, The Netherlands – May 21, 2022 – The 2022 Spring Tour came to an end on Sunday at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre and it was a German rider who stole the spotlight. Nisse Lüneburg (GER) turned on the nitro aboard Nebraska van’T Vianahof to claim top honors in the feature class of the week, the €26,400 Van Mossel Automotive Group Grand Prix CSI 2*.

Seventy-two combinations entered the main outdoor ring at Milestone Farm arena for the first round of the 1.45m jump-off challenge. A total of 9 pairs managed to complete round one without having any penalties attributed to them, thus advancing to the jump-off. Despite being the first ones to tackle the challenge in the tiebreaker, Nisse Lundberg (GER) and the 2013 bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Elvis Ter Putte x Vigo d’Arsouille) were bold enough to set what turned out to be the winning mark, being clean again while timed in 35.58 seconds at the end of their effort.

The following combinations tried but it was Leopold van Asten (NED) and VDL Groep Elegant Hero Z ( Echo Van’T Spieveld x Diamant de Semilly) who came the closest, just three-tenths of a second slower than the eventual winners.

The third spot on the podium was conquered by Denis Lynch (IRL) aboard Rubens LS La Silla (HH Rebozo x Cash). Winners of the €40,000 Derby of La Baule CSIO 5* two weeks before, once again the duo put on another solid performance, backed by two fault-free runs and a final time of 36.57 seconds.
