The Netherlands – May 23, 2022 – With a monthly online auction of interesting showjumping horses, the newly founded auction of Dutch Horse Trading (DHT) enters a new era of horse sales. By joining forces with thirteen renowned and reliable horse dealers from Belgium and the Netherlands, initiator Niels Fabrie, also co-founder of the well-known SLF Auction, hopes to create a recurring auction where every kind of client, no matter their financial possibilities, can purchase with confidence.
The first DHT Auction is scheduled for Thursday, May 26.
“Dutch Horse Trading will organize an auction every last Thursday of the month in which we offer sport horses of different ages, with different qualities and experiences. We want it to be an interesting auction for everyone, no matter their finances or riding level,” says Fabrie, who founded Dutch Horse Trading.
“Our website lists the contact details of each dealer and exactly which horses he entered. We think it is important that potential clients know who the people behind the horses are. Everything is open and honest; people can ask us anything. We will answer to the best of our knowledge. We want clients to trust us and feel confident when they buy at our auction.”
Apart from the occasional dressage horse, Dutch Horse Trading will offer mainly interesting showjumpers of various ages. Whether it is a foal, a 3-year-old, a broodmare, or an experienced 10-year-old, a wide variety of showjumpers will be offered for sale. “We are very proud of the horses in our first auction,” says Fabrie. “Offspring of proven sires like Verdi TN and Glasgow vh Merelsnest and up-and-coming stallions like Nixon van’t Meulenhof and Comthago VDL are entered. We have interesting young broodmares, promising youngsters, and future GP horses for sale. There are horses for amateurs, professionals, and breeders. And we also have a few lovely amateur jumpers for sale. And all horses are entered by fourteen Dutch and Belgian horse dealers who value honesty and transparency.”
For many years, Fabrie has been selling horses worldwide together with his partner, international showjumper Amber Fijen. In recent years, Fabrie gained a lot of experience with the online sale of horses through his participation in the renowned SLF Auction.
Together with his two partners, international riders and horse dealers Walter Lelie and Harrie Smolders (NED), Fabrie co-founded the SLF Auction, through which high-caliber show jumpers find a new home. With Fabrie’s new initiative, the partners of Dutch Horse Trading hope to create an honest platform that pairs interesting horses with the right clients for every budget.
