San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – May 12, 2022 – The second week of FEI-action got underway on Thursday at the Otomí Club Hípico and a familiar face climbed onto the highest position on the podium. Nicolas Pizarro Suarez Martinez (MEX) and Oak Grove’s Enkidu were the stars of the day, claiming top honors in the feature class, the $555,000 Jump-off Challenge CSI 2*.
Eleven out of the thirty-three combinations registered a clean peformance in the first round of the 1.45m challenge, thus advancing to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was Pizarro who powered to victory aboard the 11-year-old grey Selle Français stallion (Ensor VDH Pleville x Quidam de Revel), once again being flawless before charging across the finish line in 37.61 seconds.
Arturo Parada Vallejo (MEX) and Quidamo 10 (Quidam de Revel x Lasino) were the closest ones, finishing second only due to their final time of 38.35 seconds.
Carlos Rodolfo Molina Gordillo (MEX) and Eavantus C (V. Alba R x Zandor) also left all the poles up for no penalties, rouding out the top three in 39.03 seconds.
