Knokke-Heist, Belgium – June 27, 2021 – Once again, Marcus Ehning (GER) showed maestry and class on Sunday to conclude the first week of the Knokke Hippique Summer Circuit with a win in the €51,550 Ghelamco Grand Prix CSI 3*. Ehning teamed up with the brilliant Stargold to add another blue ribbon to his mile-long list of accolades.

The German, who is considered one of the all-time masters of fine equitation, was supreme again, this time guiding the 2011 bay Oldenburg stallion (Stakkato Gold x Lord Weingard) towards two penalty-free performances, the decisive one in 37.93 seconds.

Having become one of the top ten highest-ranked riders in the world, Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) claimed second place aboard Diarca PS (Diarado x Carinue). The Brazilian matched the German’s double clear, finishing second only due to their final time of 38.12 seconds.

Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Fabregas (Zambesi x Achill) flew to third place backed by two fault-free rounds too, rounding out the top three in 39.21 seconds.
