Deauville, France – August 14, 2020 – Luciana Diniz (POR) and Vertigo du Desert stole the spotlight last Friday during the second day of the Longines Deauville Classic CSI 3* at the Pôle international du Cheval Longines – Deauville.

The feature class of the day was the €27,900 Hermes Sellier Prize CSI 3*, one of the two Qualifiers for the  Longines Grand Prix CSI 3*. A total of 88 combinations entered the ring to challenge Gregory Bodo‘s (FRA) 1,50m course. In the end, it was the Brazilian-born rider who guided her very own 11-year-old Selle Français gelding (Mylord Carthago x Robin II Z) to victory in the jump-off, leaving all the fences up while crossing the finish line in 39.40 seconds.

For the second time in as many days, Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quouglof de Rouge) came close to clinching top honors, finishing second again only two-hundredths of a second behind the eventual winners.

Pénélope Leprevost (FRA) and Big Star des Forêts (Untouchable M x Voltaire) completed the podium backed by two penalty-free efforts, the decisive one in 39.91 seconds.

Deauville, França, 14 de Agosto de 2020 – Luciana Diniz (POR) e Vertigo du Desert roubaram a cena no última sexta-feira durante o segundo dia de competições do Longines Deauville Classic CSI 3* no Pôle international du Cheval Longines – Deauville.

A principal prova do dia foi o Prêmio Hermes Sellier  CSI 3*, oferecendo uma premiação de €27,900, servindo como a segunda de duas provas qualificatórias para o Grande Prêmio Longines de Deauville CSI 3*. Um total de 88 conjuntos entraram na pista para desafiar o percurso com obstáculos postos à 1.50m de altura, projetado pelo armador Gregory Bodo (FRA). No final, a amazona nascida no Brasil guiou seu castrado de Sela Francesa (Mylord Carthago x Robin II Z) e com 11 anos de idade rumo à vitória no desempate, completando uma volta limpa em 39,40 segundos.

Pela segunda vez consecutiva, Guy Williams (GBR) e Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quouglof de Rouge) estiveram bem próximos da vitória, terminando em segundo lugar novamente apenas dois centésimos mais lentos que os vencedores.
