
Neumünster, Germany – February 16, 2020 – Mario Stevens (GER) and Landano OLD were victorious in the €75,000 Grand Prix of Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken CSI 3* last Sunday during the VR Classics CSI 3*, the sixth and final leg of the Bemer Riders Tour, held in Neumünster, Germany.
The German and the 11-year-old dark bay Oldenburg gelding (Lord Pezi x C-Indoctro) were supreme in the two-round challenge, clearing all the 1.60m obstacles for no penalties at the end of their both performances while completing the fastest second round in 33.93 seconds for the victory.
Marco Kutscher (GER) and Charco 2 (Chin Quin x Darco) got nipped at the wire, finishing second only three-hundredths behind the eventual winners.
It was an all-German podium for the host nation as Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) and Varihoka du Temple (Luigi d’Amaury x Kannan) registered a double clear and a final time of 34.15 seconds for bronze honors.
