Paris, France – December 07, 2019 – Having already won the Masters Two Joséphine B Prize CSI 2* on the opening day of the Longines Masters of Paris CSI 5*/2*, Marie Pellegrin (FRA) confirmed how talented her mare, Baccarat du Tertre is, when the duo clinched the victory in the €24,250 Joone Prize CSI 2* last Saturday.
The French rider and the 8-year-old bay Selle Français mare (Putch Des Isles x Indoctro) took no prisoners to end up a second and a half faster than two speed specialists, securing the victory after a penalty-free run in 56.78 seconds.
Matthew Sampson (GBR) on Geneve R (Eldorado v. Zeshoek x Berlin) also registered no penalties, earning silver honors in 57.24 seconds.
Thierry Rozier (FRA) and Star (Singulord Jot Oes x Caretino) rounded out the top three backed by a clean performance in 58.70 seconds.

“When I checked the clock, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I even wondered if I hadn’t forgotten a fence” exclaimed Marie Pellegrin. “Baccarat is exceptional. She is quick, with a lot of quality and careful. She gives it her all each time”. The win a “ranking” class means Marie will score points towards the Longines World Ranking List – and she will take home the winners Ducati Scrambler motorbike. “To be honest, this is the first time this sort of thing happens to me”! she admitted, all smiles.
