Lanaken, Belgium – September 25, 2019 – The final day of the 25th edition of the FEI/WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses continued today and a second world champion was crowned, this time among the six-year-olds.

Katrin Eckermann (GER) & Chao Lee
Katrin Eckermann (GER) wasted no time in guiding Chao Lee (Comme Il Faut x Chacco-Blue), registering a ninja-like clear performance aboard the 6-year-old dark bay Rhinelander mare in 40.64 seconds to claim the crown and the jackpot of the €50,000 purse.
After a second place in the five-year-olds Michael Pender (IRL) once again saw victory slip away, this time finishing second on MHS Cardenta (Cardento x Diamond Serpent), only one-tenth of a second behind the eventual winners.
Jeroen Appelen (BEL) and Nero de Semilly N. (Diamant de Semilly x Lord Z) conquered third place at their first event together, registering a double clear and a jump-off time of 43.54 seconds.

Podium: 2) Michael Pender (IRL), 1) Katrin Eckermann (GER), 3) Jeroen Appelen (BEL)
