Gijón, Spain – August 29, 2019 – Luciana Diniz (POR) and Vertigo du Desert won the €51,400 Oquendo Trophy CSI 5* yesterday during the CSIO 5* of Gijón at the Las Mestas Equestrian Center in Gijón, Spain.

The Portuguese rider and the 10-year-old Selle Français gelding (Mylord Carthago*HN x Robin II Z) were supreme in the 1.50m speed challenge, securing the victory after a penalty-free effort in 64.45 seconds.

Roberto Turchetto (ITA) and Adare (Royal Bravour x Burggraaf) were the runners-up, timed in 65.47 seconds.

Pedro Veniss (BRA) and For Felicila (For Pleasure x Espri) completed the podium, registering no penalties in 65.84 seconds.
