Hong Kong, China – February 15, 2025 – The 2025 Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show  (LHKIHS) CSI 5* came to a thrilling conclusion last Sunday, marking its successful debut. Over the three days, world-class equestrian athletes and their magnificent horses delivered unforgettable performances, captivating spectators, and solidifying Hong Kong’s position on the global equestrian stage.

This year’s edition showcased world-class performances across multiple disciplines, from 5-star Show Jumping (CSI 5*) including the Longines Grand Prix, to power classes with the highlight being the Great Wall Challenge – Puissance. With over 50 international horses flown into Hong Kong for this prestigious show, the competition was fierce, the performances breathtaking, and the atmosphere electric.

The 1.55m jump-off challenge was contested by 23 combinations but only five of them managed to advance to the tiebreaker. In the end, the winner of Saturday’s €65,000 Longines Stakes CSI 5* was Richard Vogel (GER) from Germany with Cloudio. The German and the 11-year-old grey Holsteiner stallion (Casall x San Patrignano Cassini) dazzled in the decisive round, securing the win backed by a penalty-free performance in 32.25 seconds.

Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Senator (Carambole x Indoctro) gave the eventual winners a run for their money, finishing second just over three-tenths slower, crossing the final timers in 32.56 seconds.

Patrick Lam (HKG) put in another phenomenal performance to finish third, again with Dakota (Denver V x Nissan Rex Z), doing so in 33.69 seconds.
