Traverse City, Michigan, USA โ August 03, 2024 โ After two FEI classes earlier in the week, Richie Moloney (IRL) had come close to a podium finish, even finishing fourth in the $32,000 Speed Challenge CSI 2* and he did not only make it to the podium this time but to the top of it, teaming up with Ermes di Tai to claim top honors in the $75,000 Grand Prix of Traverse City CSI 2* on Saturday.

The main class of the week featured a total of 34 combinations in the first round but only eight of them managed to complete the 1.45m course without having any poles down nor having any time penalties attributed to them. In the end, the Irishman guided the 10-year-old bay Selle Franรงais gelding (Canturano x L’Arc de Triomphe Bois Margot) past them, doing so in flawless fashion before crossing the final timers in 35.150 seconds.

After winning the $32,000 Speed Challenge CSI 2* earlier in the week, the most consistent rider of the week, Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) was denied another win, this time aboard Cornwall BH, finishing second in 36.910 seconds.

Francisco Goyoaga Mollet (ESP) put on another solid performance aboard Stakato Cornet, conquering bronze honors after two clean performances, the final one in 37.580 seconds.
