
Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain โJanuary 20, 2024ย โ Bossa Nova in Oliva Nova! To the beat of brazilian Bossa Nova, Luciana Diniz (BRA) and Vertigo du Desert were victorious in the on Saturday at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3*. The dynamic duo blazed past the competition to win the โฌ28,700 CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas Trophy CSI 3*.

Sixty-seven combinations had entered the ring for the 1.45m challenge but the brazilian and the 2009 grey Selle Franรงais gelding (Mylord Carthago*HN x Robin Z) blazed past eight other combinations, out of a total of 10, who had qualified for the tiebreaker. Yannick Jorand (SUI) and Cipetto 2 were faster but their time of 39.99 seconds came at the expense of a pole down (4 penalty-points), handing the win to Diniz, who dashed across the finish line in 41.73 seconds.
Two-tenths of a second separated the next two highest riders amongst the top three. Mark McAuley (IRL) & Django Ste. Hermelle rode towards silver honors in 42.70 seconds while Davide Kainich (ITA) and Naomi Z rounded out the top three.
