Basel, Switzerland – January 14, 2024 – Richard Howley (IRL) had a very consistent week competing at the 2024 Longines CHI Classics – Basel CSI 5*-W. On Saturday the Irishman teamed up with Mansini LTD to win the €60,000 Dach+Holztech Prize CSI 5*-W.

The 1.50m speed challenge was contested by 40 combinations yet Richard raced to victory aboard the 15-year-old bay Swedish Warmblood gelding (Caressini L x Marramas), registering no penalties in 55.02 seconds.

The host nation claimed the next two top spots on the podium as Barbara Schnieper (SUI) guided Judy KM across the finish line in 56.56 seconds. Janika Sprunger (SUI) and Kinmar Scarlett completed their flawless flights around the track in 57.34 seconds to conquer bronze honors.
