Basel, Switzerland – January 12, 2024 – Pius Schwizer (SUI) strikes again! After winning the €15,100 Gönnerclub Pferdesport Basel Prize CSI 5*-W with the same mount the day before, the Swiss and AK’s Courage sped to victory in the €30,600 Land Rover Prize CSI 5*-W last Friday during the 2024 Longines CHI Classics Basel CSI 5*-W.

Pius was powered to first place aboard the 15-year-old grey German Sport Horse (DSP) mare (Cheppeto C x Lennon), completing both sections of the two-phase 1.45m challenge in flawless fashion, crossing the final timers in 29.84 seconds.

Kevin Jochems (NED) and Casillas van de Helle (Casall x San Patrignano Corrado) secured second place in 30.65 seconds while Thibeau Spits (BEL) and King van Essene (Calido I x Chacco-Blue) rounded out the top three just four-hundredths of a second behind.
