Luciana Lossio & Lady Louise JMen Conquer World Cup Qualifier at Rio de Janeiro!

Rio de Janeiro – 25 de Novembro, 2023 – Luciana Lóssio (BRA) and Lady Louise JMen have consistently won both in Brazil and even at the famous Wellington Equestrian Festival (WEF). On Saturday, the dynamic duo teamed up for the another victory, this time in the R$ 360,000 Internacional Vinci Partners Grand Prix CSI 3*-W, the highlight of the 85th Aniversay of the Sociedade Hípica Brasileira

More than the lion’s share of the purse, the 1.60m contest was also valid as one of the legs of the FEI Jumping World Cup – South American League, moreover, attributing points for the Brazilian Senior Top Ranking and used as observation for the selection of the team for the Olympic Games, participation which the “Canarinhos” clinched at the 2023 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final CSIO 5* last October in Barcelona, Spain.

The two-round challenge designed by Erica Sportielo (BRA) was contested by 20 combinations with 12 of them returning for the decisive second round. Only Lóssio and her main lady, the 13-year-old Brazilian Sport Horse mare winners of the 2021 Brazilian Senior Top Championship, managed to complete the first round in flawless fashion. With the advantage of being the last ones in the final round.

Despite having an unlucky four penalty-points after a light touch on one of the poles of the penultimate obstacle, the duo still managed to win since no other duplicate their total score.

Stephan Barcha (BRA) & Chevaux Chantilly JMen

Second place was claimed by the current Pan-American Games Individual Gold Medalist, Stephan Barcha (BRA), this time guiding Chevaux Chantilly JMen towards 8 penalty-points and the blazing second-round time of 50.30 seconds.

Guilherme Foroni (BRA) & Chelsea JMen

Another rising star of the noble sport in Brazil, Guilherme Foroni (BRA) and Chelsea JMen were consistent again, improving to a clean second round after carrying 8 penalty-points from their first effort, crossing the final timers in 51.79 seconds to round out the top three.
