Abdelkebir Ouaddar & Kristpas Neretnieks Share the Win in the $110,100 Equestrian Wielkopolska Trophy CSI 4*

Poznań, Poland – June 08, 2023 – The first Big Tour class at 4Foulee ended with a shared victory for Kristaps Neretnieks from Latvia and Abdelkebir Ouaddar from Morocco.

The Equestrian Wielkopolska Trophy CSI 4*, for the Wielkopolska Equestrian Association Cup, counting for group D of the Longines Rankings, gathered 52 combinations on the starting list. Eighteen of them completed the 150 cm course faultlessly, and the competition on the first day of the 4Foulee CSI 4* was quite fierce. What doesn’t happen too often, we had two winners – Latvia’s Kristaps Neretnieks (LAT) with Palladium KJV and the rider from Morocco – Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) on the mare Ceika Malouine.

Kristaps Neretnieks (LAT) & Palladium KJV

“My horse was competing on grass for the first time and it seems that he liked it! I’ve been riding Palladium for more than one year now, it’s an amazing horse with a big heart. We managed to win today and score some points for the Olympic ranking, which I’m very happy about.” – said Neretnieks.

Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) & Ceika Malouine

“I love Poland, but it’s my first time at 4Foulee. The arena is amazing and the ground is very well-prepared.” – said Ouaddar.

Austria’s Gerfried Puck (AUT) with Equitron Melody VD Smidshoeve finished third in 72.40 seconds.

There are still three days of sports competition at the highest level ahead of us. On Friday, the highlight of the program will be the Trophy of the Patrons of Poznań – Piotr and Paweł, counting for the world ranking, for the prizes of the patron of the competition – Mr. Roman Roszkiewicz.
