Grimaud, France – April 28, 2023 – A perfect course and a jump off as quick as a lightening, that`s what it took for the Hubside rider Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) and GFE Candy de Nantuel to win the €26,200 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 3* on Friday during Spring Tour II at the Hubside Jumping de Grimaud – Golfe de Saint Tropez CSI 3*.
Pénélope and the 2012 chestnut Selle Français stallion (Luidam x Diamant de Semilly) powered past 7 other combinations out of the 8 who had advanced to the tiebreaker of the 1.50m contest, conquering first place in 41.06 seconds.
Max Routledge (GBR) and Janeiro (Arezzo VDL x Arizona) were the closest ones, matching the clean scorecard of the eventual winners while finishing second due to the final time of 43.44 seconds.
The competition was fierce and the outcome proved that as three different nations were represented on the podium. Petronella Andersson (SWE) and Opaline de W&S (Etoulon VDL x Zirocco Blue VDL) secured bronze honors, doing so after a penalty-free jump-off performance in 43.70 seconds.
