Daniel Deusser & Bingo Ste Hermelle are Deceptively Quick to Win the €53,000 Prix FFE Generali CSI 5*-W

Bordeaux, France – February 03, 2023 – Earlier in the evening another horse was speeding its way through the Bordeaux arena: Bingo Ste Hermelle. Before even commenting on his victory, its rider Daniel Deusser (GER) was especially keen to talk about the joy of returning to Bordeaux:

“Coming back here is a great pleasure. Bordeaux is a really, really, really beautiful competition! I have the impression that there are even more people here than in the last few years combined. From Friday noon onwards, the stands were full, the exhibition raws were full, there is really a great atmosphere here”. An atmosphere that visibly inspired the world n°9 who won this €53,000 Prix FFE Generali CSI 5*-W, a 1.50m class, with more than two and a half seconds ahead of Dutch Jur Vrieling (NED):

I am very happy to start this competition with this victory. My horse Bingo Ste Hermelle is naturally very fast. I must say that I managed to find the right keys on this course. Almost three seconds ahead, of course, is a good margin, but when you start in fourth position, you can never be sure of anything, there can always be someone capable of doing better. Fortunately, no one managed to do so and that gives me confidence for the rest of the weekend“.

The next step will be the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Saturday, where Daniel Deusser (GER), who has already qualified for the Omaha final in April, will only have to focus on a victory that he has already achieved here in Bordeaux in 2019 with the same horse that he will ride tomorrow: “I will ride Tobago Z in the World Cup. Today he did a short run on the 1.40m course to see what the track was like. Last week he did very well and I hope to be in the jump-off and then we’ll see what happens.

Saturday will undoubtedly see the writing of another beautiful chapter in the saga of this unique relationship between a man and an animal. Everyone is waiting for this mythical Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ of Bordeaux (8.30 pm) and hoping for yet another beautiful battle of the Titans where almost all the winners of this 2022-2023 World Cup will fight for a French victory.
