Grimaud, France – October 14, 2022 – One of the riders with the most wins at FEI-level events the past few years, Julien Epaillard (FRA) was back on top of the podium on Friday during the penultimate day of the Hubside Jumping’s Fall Tour Series at Haras des Grillons. The Frenchman teamed up with Donatello d’Auge for victory in the €51,400 Celside Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*.

Riding the 2013 bay Selle Français gelding (Jarnac x Hello Pierville), Epaillard excelled in the tiebreaker against 9 out of the original 40 combinations who took part in the 1.50m challenge, doing so by completing their second penalty-free performance in 41.82 seconds.
Despite not winning the feature class of the day, Alexa Ferrer (FRA) definitely stole the spotlight at the cozy venue at the French Riviera. After claiming top honors in the €25,500 Hubside Store Speed Challenge CSI 2* just a few hours earlier, Ferrer came close to scoring her second major victory on the same day. Alexa and Arka de La Hart Z (Arko III x Kachmir Van Schuttershof) secured reserve honors with no penalties and a final time of 39.51 seconds.
Bruno Garez (FRA) and United Sunheup (Balougran x Brett Saint Clair) completed the all-French podium, backed by a clean scorecard and jump-off time of 44.65 seconds.
