La Coruña, Spain – July 15, 2022 – And they saved the best for last! The host nation got off to a great start last Friday at the 2022 summer edition of A Coruña – Casas Novas CSI 4* at Hipica Casas Novas and it was Alberto Marques Galobardes (ESP) and Aldo du Manoir who were supreme in the €26,000 CaixaBank Trophy CSI 4*.

Fifteen of the thirty-five combinations advanced to the jump-off of the 1.50m challenge, but it was the Spaniard and the 12-year-old bay Selle Français gelding (Iowa 960 x Arpege Pierreville) who prevailed, not only by leaving all the poles up but also also registering the fastest time of 34.25 seconds for the victory.

Seven other combinations registered a clean scorecard after completing their jump-off effort and the second-fastest ones were Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Bluemuch des Baleines (Chacco-Blue x Clinton) for silver honors.

Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Gijs (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Numero Uno) earned bronze honors, backed a second fault-free round, timed in 34.68 seconds.
