Eduardo Menezes & Calypso des Matis Master the Competition at the CSI 4* of Bourg-en-Bresse

Bourg-en-Bresse Ain, France – May 21, 2022 – Eduardo Menezes (BRA) and Calypso des Matis were back in the winner’s circle on Saturday. The combination were supreme in the feature class of the day, the €35,000 Région Auvergne Rhône Alpes CSI 4* to conclude a great of top sport at the 2022 edition of the Jumping International de Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4* & 2*. – 0 / 0 – 32.67

Fifty-seven pairs challenge the first round course on which obstacles were set at the height of 1.50 meters. The course designer got the “numbers right” since nine combinations advanced to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was the Eduardo and the 2012 grey Selle Français gelding (Padock du Plessis*HN x Tresor de Cheux) who prevailed, doing so after a penalty-free jump-off performance in 32.67 seconds.

Fresh of being crowned 2022 Pro Elite Champion, Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) continued to ride her streak of good results, this time finishing second aboard Bingo de Tondou (Vigo d’Arsouilles STX x Querlybet Hero), backed by a fault-free second run in 33.14 seconds.

Only three of the 9 finalists duplicated their clean scorecard from the first round. Romain Duguet (SUI) and Bel Canto de Boguin (Grenat de Grez x Arpege Pierreville) were the third and final duo to do it, conquering the course in 33.82 seconds for bronze honors.
