
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – May 07, 2022 – Rodrigo Lambre (MEX) and Chaquitos PS were off to the races last Saturday to win the MXN $1,105,000 GNP Seguros Gran Prix CSI 2* at the Otomí Club Hípico. Lambre was responsible for two of the four penalty-free performances in the first round but chose to participate only with his winning partner. All three combinations that faced the jump-off repeat their clean scorecard as in the first round.
In the end, Rodrigo and the 9-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Conthargos) prevailed by being lightning quick in the tiebreaker, stopping the final timers in 47.23 seconds.
Miguel Ángel Torres Hernández (MEX) and Chacendra (Chacco-Blue x Dobels Cento) were over one second and a half slower but were still able to secure silver honors due to their final time of 48.95 seconds.
Brazilian showed their strength in the 1.45m challenge, having two of their many successful riders climb onto the podium. Felipo Godinho Marcondes (BRA) and Guschenka (Namelus R x Acorado) rounded out the top three in 49.21 seconds.
