Oliva Nova, Spain – February 12, 2022 – Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Beryl des Pres were the aces of the day at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour last Saturday. The dynamic duo claimed top honors in Saturday’s feature class, the €25,500 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort Trophy CSI 2*, one of the Longines Rankings tests held during the second week of the Spring Tour II there.

A total of 37 combinations competed in the jump-off challenge in the first round, with seven of them advancing to the jump-off. All with exception of one of the finalists managed a clean scorecard but only the Frenchman and the 2011 bay Selle Français gelding (Popstar Lozonais x Djalisco du Guet) prevailed, powering to first place in 36.60 seconds.

The host nation was represented on the podium as Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (ESP) rode Missouri Van’T Ruytershof (Bamako de Muze x For Pleasure) for a second-place finish, backed by their time of 37.61 seconds during the tiebreaker.

The number one ranked young rider in the world did not disappoint either. Harry Charles (GBR) guided Aralyn Blue (Chacco-Blue x Ludwig AS) towards bronze honors, crossing the jump-off timers in 37.90 seconds.
