Déjà Vu in Reverse! David Will Dashes for Another Victory at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club

Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates – January 08, 2022 – David Will (GER) dashed for another major victory last Friday at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, claiming victory in the $130,600 Speed Challenge CSI 4*-W. Once again, the German rider was not only victorious but he also managed to bookend the podium, a feat he had already achieved the previous day in the $129,000 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*-W.

However, this time the roles were reversed, with the win coming aboard Forest Gump while Will also finished third aboard Concordia, reversing the positions he finished with the same horses in the feature class the day before. The German teamed up with Forest Gump, a 16-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Forsyth x Feuerwerk), topping a whopping field of 69 other combinations backed by a clear performance in 65.11 seconds.

Jur Vrieling (NED) and Chabada de L’Esques (Quebracho Semilly x Apache d’Adriers) were the closest ones, doing so after a penalty-free run in 65.90 performances.

As mentioned earlier David Will (GER) also completed the podium on Concordia (Colorit x San Patrignano Cassini), doing so in 66.80 seconds.

Final Results – $130,600 Speed Challenge CSI 4*-W

2) Jur Vrieling (NED) & Chabada de L’Esques – 0 – 65.90
