
Oliva Nova, Spain – December 03, 2021 – Richard Howley (IRL) and Arlo de Blondel raced to victory in the €26,700 Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 3* during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Autumn MET III at Oliva Nova.
The Irishman was masterful and quick on the course, guiding the 2010 chestnut Selle Français gelding (Tlaloc M x Kassidi) towards a penalty-free performance in both sections of the 1.45m challenge, completing the final part in 30.79 seconds for the win.
The rest of the field were left in the dust with the closest ones to the eventual winners being Gilles Willemann (FRA) and Chopin D Hyrencourt ( Udancer Hero x Ogano Sitte), the difference being their final time of 31.25 seconds.
Winner of a feature class last a the event last Saturday, Thiago Ribas Da Costa (BRA) was back on the podium with another partner. The Brazilian rode Kassandra Van ‘T Heike (Epleaser Van ‘T Heike x Grandeur) towards bronze honors in 31.25 seconds.
