Mike Patrick Leichle & Baby Woodrose Light to Win at the Vilamoura Champions Tour CSI 4*

Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – November 04, 2021 – Mike Patrick Leichle (GER) and Baby Woodrose lit up to win the Speed Challenge CSI 4* on Thursday during the fifth week of the 2021 Vilamoura Champions Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.

The German and the 2012 bay Danish Warmblood mare (Party Dance x Bollvorm’S Libero H) accelerated to victory in the 1.45m challenge against the clock, edging out 44 other combinations backed by their penalty-free run in 65.39 seconds.

As much of the entire Champions Tour circuit, the Union Jack was once again on the podium at the cozy equestrian venue in Portugal. James Wilson (GBR) guided L’Amour ( Lordanos x Acorado) to a second-place finish with their tiem of 66.29 seconds.

After being one of the pleasant surprises at the 2021 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in the beginning of the year, once again Camila Mazza de Benedicto (BRA) showed top riding form. This time the Brazilian rode Carmen de La Vallee (Magic d’Elle x Kannan*Gfe) to a third-place finish, only seven hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
