Guy Williams & Rouge de Ravel Ride for Another Win at the Vilamoura Champions Tour

Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – October 29, 2021 – Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel kept their winning streak at the 2021 Vilamoura Champions Tour last Friday by claiming top honors in the €25,400 Two Phase Challenge CSI 4* at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.

Winners of the same class the previous week, Guy Williams (GBR) and the 2005 bay Selle Français stallion (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) were supreme again in the 1.45m challenge, advancing to and completing the second section of the course without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the victory in 30.34 seconds.

Ireland and Great Britain have been going head-to-head for wins the entire circuit and it was no different on Friday. The Irish were represented on the podium by Alexander Butler (IRL) and Pico (Chekhov Pzk x Carrolls Flight) this time. The duo matched the winners’ double clear, securing the silver in 31.24 seconds.

The greatness of Gregory Wathelet (BEL) was not only present in the class, but the Belgian lived up to his reputation, guiding Chagall de Toscane (Norton d’Eole x Opium de Talma) towards bronze honors in 31.24
