
St Lô, France – October 21, 2021 – Julien Gonin (FRA) jumped to victory in the feature class of the first day of the Jumping International de Saint Lô CSI 4* & 2* at the Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô. The Frenchman rode Caprice de Guinfard to top honors in the first Grand Prix Qualifier, the €25,400 Prix France Étalons CSI 4*. The Frenchman cleared all the 1.50m obstacles aboard the 2012 chestnut Selle Français gelding (Mylord Carthago*HN x Socrate de Chivre) before crossing the finish line in 62.71 seconds.
Jean Luc Mourier (FRA) and Kielekoo Van T&L (Carabas Vd Wateringhoeve x Canadian River) earned reserve honors in 63.76 seconds while William Whitaker (GBR) and Galtur (Cornet’s Stern x Balou du Rouet ) registered the third fastest clean round of the speed challenge, earning the third spot on the podium in 64.21 seconds.
