
Brussels, Belgium – July 21, 2021 – The Royal Belgian Equestrian Federation (Equibel – FRBSE / KBRF) has released a statement announcing that Yves Vanderhasselt (BEL) and his mount Jeunesse are not longer part of Belgian Team for the for the upcoming Olympic Games. Vanderhasselt (BEL) and the 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Quasimodo Vd Molendreef x Quasimodo Vd Molendreef) had been previously announced as the reserve combination for the Belgian jumping team at Tokyo, Japan. The national federation also informed that they wouldn’t be representing the nation due to veterinary reasons.
They will be replaced by Pieter Devos (BEL) and Claire Z (Clearway x Coronado). The necessary adjustments are being made so that Pieter can travel to Tokyo in time.
The duo join Niels Bruynseels (BEL) & Delux van T&L (Toulon x Landetto), Jérôme Guéry (BEL) & Quel Homme de Hus (Quidam de Revel x Candillo) and Gregory Wathelet (BEL) & Nevados S (Calvados Z x Romualdo), representing the ‘Red Devils’ in the much anticipated event.
