Grimaud, Saint Tropez, France – July 02, 2021 – He was announced as the guest-star of the fifth week of competition at the Hubside Jumping Grimaud-Golfe de Saint-Tropez: the German legend Michael Jung (GER) did indeed showcase his greatness last Friday on the Côte d’Azur track at Haras des Grillons.
At the helm of Fischerchelsea, he won €35,000 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*, overcoming eight other combinations in the jump-off. The German cleared all the 1.50m obstacles on the course designed by Cédric Longis (FRA), crossing the finish line in 38.34 seconds aboard the 2008 bay Westphalian mare (Check In 2 x Argent).
The next two top spots on the podium were claimed by the host nation. Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Cesus de Fougnard (Tlaloc M x Calvaro), were just two-tenths of a second slower than the winners, a mark that secured them silver honors.
Morgan Bordat (FRA) and Uma (Calvaro F.C. x Veneur d’Etenclin) were even closer to the latter two, being just two-hundredths of a second slower than their french counterparts.
