Michael Jung & Chasandra Chase Down the Jackpot in €25,400 Kube Saint-Tropez Grand Prix CSI 2*

Grimaud – Saint Tropez, France – July 07, 2021 – Coming into last week, Michael Jung (GER) was one of the main stars at the Hubside Jumping and the all-time great did not disappoint once again. Besides the win in the €35,000 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 4* with Fischerchelsea on Friday, the eventing legend turned the switch “to showjumping champion” once again, claiming top honors with Chasandra, this time in the €25,400 Kube Saint-Tropez Grand Prix CSI 2*.

Jung produced two impecable rounds aboard the 2010 Oldenburg mare (Sandro Boy x Chacco-Blue), showing both scope and speed in the tiebreaker before going on to secure the victory in 40.11 seconds.

Robin Muhr (ISR) and Dalakani Chardonnet (Padock du Plessis*HN x Baloubet du Rouet) were the closest ones, matching the clean scorecard of the eventual winners but with a slower final time of 41.23 seconds.

Despite a strong field representing the host nation, all three places on the podium were conquered by riders from different nations. Pieter Clemens (BEL) and Crescendo MB Z (Clinton I x Unknown) completed the top three, registering no penaltie and a jump-off time of 42.05 seconds.
