Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho Flies to First in €51,700 Grand Prix CSI 3* at Vilamoura

Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – January 31, 2021 – Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho (BRA) pulled out all the aces up his sleeve aboard Hermes van de Vrombautshoeve to win the €51,700 Grand Prix CSI 3* on Sunday during the first week of the 2021 Vilamoura Atlantic Tour.

The Brazilian and the 14-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood gelding (Vigo D’Arsouilles Stx x Equitop du Moyon) were supreme in the 1.50m jump-off by advancing to and completing the decisive phase without having any penalties attributed to them, stopping the final timers in 37.14 seconds.

Lily Attwood (GBR) and Calvaro’s Up To Date (Calvaro F.C. x Up To Date) had the only double clear of the contest, completing their second effort in 39.04 seconds.

Jasmine Shao-Man Chen (TPE) and Ninyon (Nintender x Careful) were the fastest combination among the five finalists, but their quick time of 36.78 seconds came at the expense of one rail down for four penalty-points, still earning them bronze honors.

Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – January 31, 2021 – O Brasil fechou com chave de ouro a primeira semana do Vilamoura Atlantic Tour. Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho (BRA) moustrou maestria ao guiar Hermes van de Vrombautshoeve à vitória no Grande Prêmio CSI 3*.

O cavaleiro brasileiro e o castrado alazão de 14 anos de idade (Vigo D’Arsouilles Stx x Equitop du Moyon) foram o conjunto mais rápidos dentre apenas dois que registraram um duplo zero, superando todos os obstáculos postos a 1.50m de altura antes de cruzar a linha de chegada em 37s14.

Lily Attwood (GBR) e Calvaro’s Up To Date (Calvaro F.C. x Up To Date) asseguraram o segundo posto com um tempo final de 39.04 segundos.

Jasmine Shao-Man Chen (TPE) e Ninyon (Nintender x Careful) foram os mais rápidos dentre as 5 duplas finalistas, porém sua marca de 36s78 foi alcançada com uma pontuação de 4 pontos perdidos no desempate, mesmo assim conquistando o terceiro posto no pódio.
