
Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – October 08, 2020 – Before going to win the Grand Prix CSI 3* last Sunday Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel claimed the first win of the week on Thursday, riding to victory in the feature class of the day, held at the Francisco Moura arena of the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.
The Brit and the 15-year-old bay Selle Français stallion (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) overcame all the 1.45m obstacles they faced in the two-phase challenge, completing the second section in 28.12 seconds for the victory.
It was a one-two for Great Britain as Lily Atwood (GBR) and Cor-Leon Vd Vlierbeek Z, who advanced to and completed both phases of the contest without having any penalties attributed to them, stopping the final timers in 30.19 seconds.
Michel Hecart (FRA) and Bora Bora de La Roque (Zandor Z x Palestro II) completed the podium, crossing the finish line in 30.48 seconds.
