Denis Lynch & Spring Dark Shine the Brighest in €30,000 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2*

Grimaud, France – October 11, 2020 – Denis Lynch (IRL) and Spring Dark shone the brightest to win the €30,000 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2* on Sunday during the penultimate week of the Hubside Jumping’s Fall Tour.

This time, the winner of the €200,000 Hubside Store Grand Prix CSI 5* guided the 14-year-old bay Selle Français mare (Jazz Band Courcelle x Palestro II) towards victory after posting a fault-free jump-off effort in 40.82 seconds.

Second place was claimed by Marc Dilasser (FRA) and Corona Z (Crown Z x Happy Villers), only sixteen-hundredths of a second behind the eventual winners.

Alexis Deroubaix (FRA) and Carmen du Plessis (Padock du Plessis*HN x Palestro II) powered to claim third place, registering no penalties in 42.56 during the tiebreaker.

Spring Dark, the mare with which I won this 2* Grand Prix, was fantastic. This was our first competition this weekend together, she has only been in my stables for two months, but at fourteen she already has a lot of work. I am delighted with what she gave today, and I warmly thank Andrea and Kevin Murphy for their trust. We will see what the next steps will be for her and me. She’ll be back at the Hub Jumping next week for the final weekend of competition, and then we’ll find out. We will go step by step.

This Grand Prix was in any case really pleasant, the course manager did a great job. Of course, there were thirteen play-offs, which may seem important, but with such a field, difficult to do less. This afternoon, I will participate in the 4 * Grand Prix with Rubens LS La Silla. Of course, we will give everything to sign the double! Rubens has already won some great events, including a 5 * Grand Prix last year. So, my fingers crossed!

Spring Dark, la jument avec laquelle je remporte ce Grand Prix 2*, a été fantastique. Il s’agissait ce week-end de notre premier concours ensemble, elle n’est dans mes écuries que depuis deux mois, mais à quatorze ans, elle a déjà beaucoup de métier. Je suis ravi de ce qu’elle a donné aujourd’hui, et je remercie chaleureusement Andrea et Kevin Murphy pour leur confiance. Nous verrons bien quelles seront les prochaines étapes pour elle et moi. Elle sera de nouveau présente sur l’Hubside Jumping la semaine prochaine, à l’occasion du dernier week-end de compétition, puis nous aviserons. Nous avancerons pas à pas. Ce Grand Prix était en tout cas vraiment agréable, le chef de piste a fait un super boulot. Bien sûr, il y a eu treize barragistes, ce qui peut sembler important, mais avec un tel plateau, difficile de faire moins. Cet après-midi, je participerai au Grand Prix 4* avec Rubens LS La Silla. Bien sûr, nous allons tout donner pour signer le doublé ! Rubens a déjà remporté de belles épreuves, dont un Grand Prix 5* l’année dernière. Donc, je croise les doigts!
