Gorla Minore, Italy – July 26, 2020 – The number one spot on the podium for the number one ranked rider in the world! Steve Guerdat (SUI) proved once again why he’s the leader in the Longines FEI Jumping Individual Rider Ranking by claiming the €30,000 Grand Prix CSI 2* at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre.

The Swiss had an impecable jump-off round aboard Uranie de Belcour, a 12-year-old chestnut Selle Français mare (Flipper d’Elle x Diamant de Semilly), going through the timers in 31.35 seconds.

After winning the €30,000 Grand Prix CSI 2*the previous Sunday and the €25,500 Speed Class CSI 2* on Saturday, Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Prinz 1293 (Perigueux x Escudo 19) came close to registering their third major win at the venue in less than two weeks, this time finishing second only due to their final time of 31.67 seconds.

The host nation earned bronze honors when Emanuele Bianchi (ITA) and Zycalin (Berlin x Carthago) completed their second penalty-free performance only seven-hundredths of a second behind the latter two to earn bronze honors.
