
Fontainebleau, France – July 26, 2020 – Bryan Balsiger (SUI) and Clouzot de Lassus were the best in the €26,000 CWD Grand Prix CSI 2* on Sunday during the first week of the Summer Tour of the Fontainebleau Classic.
Riding the 12-year-old grey Belgian Sport Horse gelding (Ugano Sitte x Tenor Manciais), the Swiss was simply swift across the 1.45m course, overcoming all the obstacles and six other combinations in the jump-off when crossing the finish line in 41.35 seconds.
Olivier Perreau (FRA) and GL Events Dolce Deceuninck (Toulon x Cartier van de Heffinck) gave the eventual winners a run for their money, registering a double clear and a final time of 41.53 seconds.
The podium was completed by Matthew Sampson (GBR) and DSP Colfosco (Check In 2 x Concetto), matching the winners’ clean scorecard while stopping the jump-off timers in 43.60 seconds.
