Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – July 17, 2020 – The national anthem of France was played after the main class yesterday during the third week of the Vilamoura by Summer Series. The €25,500 Grand Prix CSI 2* was claimed by Jules Orsolini (FRA) and Qlandestin Sas at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.
The seveteen-year-old and the 2004 chestnut Selle Français gelding (Elan de La Cour x Arpege Pierreville) triumphed in the jump-off challenge by clearing all the 1.45m obstacles throughout their two performances, crossing the finish line in 39.39 seconds.
Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) and Monty Python de L’Amitie (Emerald Van’T Ruytershof x Mr Blue) were the closest ones, finishing second due to their jump-off time of 40.79 seconds.
Taizo Sugitani (JPN) and Heroine de Muze (Tinka’s Boy x For Pleasure) registered the third-fastest double clear, securing bronze honors in 41.45 seconds.
