Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – Sunday, March 02, 2020 – Francisco José Mesquita Musa (BRA) and Catch Me Império Egipcio were the stars of the day yesterday during the fourth week of the Sunshine Tour CSI 2*/3*/4*.
The Brazilian was the winner of the Big Tour €13,900 Speed Class CSI 3*, riding Haras Império Egípcio‘s 12-year-old Hannoverian mare, Catch Me Império Egipcio (Contagio x Werther). Mesquita has had a run of good results in various 5* international shows with this mare since he started riding her in 2017.
Their clear performance and time of 61.10 seconds was unbeatable, nearly 2 seconds faster than the runners-up Henk Van de Pol (NED) aboard Looyman Z (Numero Uno x Wellington), who secured second place in 62.57 seconds.
Third place was claimed by Julie Welles (USA) aboard Ambra (Quintender x Grandeur), backed by a penalty-free performance in 62.99 seconds.
