Doha, Qatar – Sunday, March 02, 2020 – The last day of the premier international equestrian competition during the Commercial Bank CHI Al Shaqab 5* was a combination of star riders and formidable horsepower pulling out all the stops in the pursuit of glory. Annika Axelsson (SWE) and Haloubet Hitchcock rode to victory in the €25,400 Speed & Handiness Challenge CSI 5* last Saturday at Al Shaqab in the Qatari capital.

The Swede and the 13-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker) were supreme by clearing all the 1.45m obstacles and crossing the line in 59.44 seconds.

Jur Vrieling (NED) & Fiumicino van de Kalevallei

Jur Vrieling (NED) secured the runner-up position aboard Fiumicino van de Kalevallei (Plot Blue x Nabab de Reve) registering a total of 60.75 seconds.

Titouan Schumacher (FRA) & Eliot Brimbelles Z

Titouan Schumacher (FRA) and Eliot Brimbelles Z claimed bronze honors after tripping the timers in 60.81 seconds.
