Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico – Sunday, March 01, 2020 – The second week of the Equsport CSI 2*/3*/4* came to an end yesterday and it was  Luis Alejandro Plascencia (MEX) and Elton ML who claimed top honors in the MXN $1,100,000 Banorte Grand Prix CSI 3*  at the Balvanera Polo & Golf Club in Santiago de Querétaro, State of Querétaro, Mexico.

Only four out of the 26 combinations advanced to the jump-off of the 1.50m/1.55m challenge, and once again the difficulty of the course was confirmed. Plascencia and the 10-year-old grey Belgian Sport Horse (Castelino van de Helle x Paladin des Ifs) were victorious despite having one pole down for four penalty-points, earning the victory due to their final time of exact 45 seconds.

The next two highest-placed contestants also had the same score as the winners with Alberto Sanchez Cozar (MEX) and Union de La Nutria (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) finishing second in 45.37 seconds while Fabian Ordoñez Tello (MEX) and Amandine de La Pomme (Kannan x For Pleasure) completed the podium in 45.87 seconds.
