Wellington, Florida, USA – January 30, 2020 – The 2020 Palm Beach Masters Series® is going green with Sustainable Initiatives, Presented by ArenaMend.
Visitors to Deeridge Farms will be reducing their carbon footprint thanks to several eco-friendly changes to the venue.
The entire Deeridge Farms property has been maintained with organic fertilizers and insecticides. EnviroEquine & Pet is providing Aubiose for EnviroEquine shavings, which are biodegradable and hemp-based, reducing waste.
Grab-and-go food items have been repacked with compostable sugar cane-based containers, an alternative to plastic. Recycling bins have also been placed throughout the venue, while entries and prize lists have gone paperless.
ArenaMend has been installed in the Sand Arena Schooling Arena. The first of its kind non-synthetic, non-oil-based sand additive, ArenaMend requires minimal water for maintenance, resulting in immense environmental benefits.Throughout the course of the 2020 Palm Beach Masters Series, Deeridge Farms will save 1.3 million gallons of water by using ArenaMend.
Visitors will be able to see the impact of these changes live, as sustainability facts and figures will educate visitors on the venue’s video boards.
“We are very pleased to implement several new sustainable initiatives this season at Deeridge Farms,” said Lou Jacobs, Series co-founder alongside siblings Charlie Jacobs and Katie Jacobs Robinson. “We are grateful to ArenaMend for getting behind this cause and making our property better for our athletes and horses, our visitors and the environment.”
