Rotterdam, The Netherlands – August 24, 2019 – Ben Maher (GBR) and Explosion W ignited once again towards another penalty-free performance to retain their lead in pursuit of individual gold at the 2019 Longines FEI European Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

After three performances, only four combinations have left all the poles up, in fact, less than one pole (four penalty-points) separates the top three. The Brit and Poden Farms’ 10-year-old chestnut Dutch Warmblood gelding (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet). The dynamic duo have a combined score of 0.62 penalty-points.

Jos Verlooy (BEL) & Igor

Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Igor (Emerald van’T Ruytershof x Nabab de Reve) are right on the heels of  the current leaders, having registered a total of 1.68 penalty-points.

Martin Fuchs (SUI) & Clooney 51

Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Clooney 51 (Cornet Obolensky x Ferragamo) are in serious contention too since they have tallied 3.46 penalty-points so far.

Gregory Wathelet (BEL) & MJT Nevados S

Gregory Wathelet (BEL) and MJT Nevados S (Calvados Z x Romualdo) are not too far behind either, having received 4.63 penalties.

Steve Guerdat (SUI) & Albfuehren’s Bianca

Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Albfuehren’s Bianca (Balou du Rouet x Cardento) round out the top five with a handicap of 5.31 points.
