Aachen, Germany – July 22, 2019 – Felix Haßmann (GER) and SL Brazonado won the €25,000 SAP Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the CHIO Aachen 5* in Aachen, Germany.
Felix Haßmann and the SAP-Prize, that’s a good combination! In 2017, the 33-year-old German came second in the competition, this time he crossed the finish line first, both times with his speedy partner, SL Brazonado. The 14-year-old grey Brazilian Sport Horse gelding (SL Baluarte x Silvestre) had also proved how fast and agile he is earlier during the week when the duo teamed up for silver honors in the €26,000 Yageo Prize CSI 5*, a challenging class over ditches and banks.
The SAP-Prize was the rider’s last opportunity to pick up a further rosette at the 2019 CHIO Aachen 5*. It turned out to be the golden one – with a clear round in 57.72 seconds, the rest of the field didn’t have a chance of catching Haßmann.
Doron Kuipers (NED) and Empire (Chacco Blue x Quattro) claimed second place backed by a penalty-free performance in 58.21 seconds.
Eduardo Menezes (BRA) and Ennebel van het Posthuijs (Numero Uno x Argentinus) rounded out the top three, registering no penalties in 59.31 seconds.
