
Redefin, Germany – May 27, 2019 – David Will (GER) and Spring Dark won the €75,000 Deutschen Kreditbank AG Grand Prix CSI 3*, the second leg of the BEMER Riders Tour at the Redefin Horse Festival CSI 3* in Redefin, Germany.
The German and the 13-year-old bay Selle Français mare (Jazz Band Courcelle x Pallestro II) scored the second round of the special stage in Redefin despite four penalty-points in the first round of the 1.60m challenge, securing the victory in 37.55 seconds.

South African Alexa Stais (RSA) and her Quintato (Quidam’s Rubin x Stakkato) to second place after two penalty-free efforts, the second one in 38.88 seconds. The South African rider raved about her 14-year-old gelding: “He’s my best friend and I’m his nurse, I feed, go graze with him and braids also brazen,” laughed the just 22-year-old show jumper, who now with her boss Hilmar Meyer (Morsum) will roll the tournament calendar, because the next stages of the BEMER Riders Tour are also an option for them.
Third in the second special stage of the season was Harm Lahde (GER) with Oak Grove’s Heartfelt (Heartbreaker x Rubens Du Ri D’Asse D’96), registering a clean scorecard and a final time of 39.95 seconds.
The overall winner of the Riders Tour 2017, Markus Beerbaum (GER), has also made a show of things. Beerbaum finished fourth with Cool Hand Luke in Redefin, scoring 13 points. He ranks eighth after two stages of the BEMER Riders Tour.
Good Sport on Traditional Grounds
“We have seen good sport”, summarized Paul Schockemöhle, who is in Redefin tournament organizer and also head of the BEMER Riders Tour. Demanding it should be and that was the second leg of the series with participants from 17 nations. In the first places are now two riders. This increases the tension with regard to Stage No. 3, which will start on Wednesday, May 29, and will be held at the German Jumping and Dressage Derby in Hamburg.
