Martin Fuch’s Clooney Honored as Swiss Jumper of the Year at Longines CSI Basel

Martin Fuchs (SUI) had an outstanding year and much of that was due to his superstar horse Clooney. After surgery and making a miraculous return to the rings in time to win a silver at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games, the 13-year-old grey Westphalian gelding (Cornet Obolensky x Ferragamo) has helped Fuchs scored precious Longines Ranking FEI points, securing him a place amongst the top 10 highest-ranked riders in the world.

Moreover, they went on to achieve3 another major triumph, this time in the €300,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ CSI 5*-W last October in Lyon, France.

Besides these victories,ery the duo have been vconsistent, registering several top placings competing against the very best of the sport in 2018.

The duo confirmed the awards they received from the “Swiss Team Trophy” (STT) patrons’ association and Swiss Sport Horse Association (VSS) last Saturday by going on to win the CHF $210,000 Longines FEI World Cup CSI 5*-W the following day.
