
Ben Maher (GBR) a year of a lifetime competing in both the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) in 2018. The Brit did not only win the two most prestigious championship series in the sport but was also the overall leader in terms of prize money earned, cashing in over 1 million euros at the end of the season.
Harrie Smolders (NED) was the closest one to him, still much further back after having netted 532,372 euros. Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) was third with €522,033, followed by Daniel Deusser (GER) who gained €504,388 while Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) completed the top five with €413,694.
