Casanova L’Herse Among Top Stallions Approved by Zangersheide Studbook

The stallion approval kicked off in the indoor arena yesterday during the Zangersheide FEI / WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses at the Zangersheide venue in Lanaken, Belgium. Sixty-two stallions attended this presentation in which three stallions already obtained an approval based on their sportive performances.

Among them Indoletto, Casanova de l’Herse and Tobago Z. Indoletto is a 10-year-old Indoctro son bred by Manfred von Allwörden. His dam Fine Kiss jumped at the highest level herself and gained a fourth place in the Helsinki World Cup under the saddle of Tatiana Freytag von Loringhoven. Indoletto himself jumps at 1m50 level with the Norwegian Young Rider Erik Preben Strand. They recently won another the Nations Cup for Young Riders in Drammen. In addition, Indoletto is the half-brother of VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Bois Margot – 1m60 with Geir Gulliksen), Diamont (Diamant de Semilly – 1m60 with Thomas McDermott) and VDL Group Alexia Z (Air Jordan Z – 1m55 with Leopold van Asten).

Casanova de L’Herse (photo) was another top horse approved yesterday. He is a 10-year-old son of Ugano Sitte and bred by Monique Bar. He jumps at the highest level under the saddle of the Belgian François Mathy Jr (BEL). They finished 6th in a 1m60 class during the Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ CSIO 5* last weekend, while they have already won multiple classes in Valence, Knokke, Bolesworth, Rome, Hagen and Lanaken this year …

In addition, also Tobago Z earned the Zangersheide approval. This 10-year-old son of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve won the Z-Ranking this year. That victory gives his breeder Jonas Bellemans a check of $8,000 euros on Sunday. Under the saddle of Daniel Deusser (GER), the chestnut stallion recently won a 1m60 class during CSI 5* Shanghai while they won the Grand Prix of Oslo CSI 5* last year. In addition, his dam, Whoopie C (Mr. Blue), also jumped at the highest level under the saddle of Yves Vanderhasselt. Besides Tobago Z, Woopie C is also the dam of HH Donnatella (Toulon – 1m60 with Daniela Stransky of Venezuela) and Beijing Z (Bamako de Muze – 1m50 with Cedrick Deknudt).
